DAY1DADS

The DAY1DADS Impact Foundation is a Calgary-born initiative dedicated to shattering the stigma surrounding men’s mental health. Founded by Curtis Alexander and Steve Mix, DAY1DADS grew from a simple idea: dads need a safe, supportive space to discuss the pressures of fatherhood and life. At the heart of the movement is the HeyDad Care Card, a scannable resource connecting fathers with over $2,000 in subsidized support, including 30 days of free therapy through BetterHelp. Through partnerships with local organizations like Calgary Surge and Gameday Men’s Health, DAY1DADS Impact Foundation ensures these life-saving tools are accessible right where men gather: at the game and in the clinic. It’s a growing network built on the belief that connection and conversation matter.

Steve and Curtis continue to build Fairways To Wellness, a growing community centered on connection, conversation, and well-being. By bringing people together through golf, they are helping show that mental health conversations don’t need to happen in a therapist’s office, they can happen anywhere, including on and off the course.
