Born and raised in Calgary, Anna Marie Buonomo has dedicated more than two decades to education, teaching students from elementary through junior high. Currently a junior high English Language Arts teacher, she is passionate about helping young people understand that their words matter and the impact that words can have on others. Known as a trusted confidant to her students, Anna has spent years listening to the stories people carry, especially the words they wish they had said. Those stories, along with her own life experiences, became the inspiration for her book, Haunted by Words Left Unspoken: How Speaking Your Truth Can Set Your Past Free. The book is divided into three parts: The Past, The Present, and The Future. Using letters, poetry, reflective prose, quotations from great thinkers, and personal stories, Anna encourages readers to face the words they have left unsaid and realize it is never too late to speak what has been hidden in their hearts.
